A Black Butterfly Experience

In celebration of National Poetry Month, Author Tonita Few will present a poetry reading from Black Butterfly: A Poetry Collection at Blaque Butterfly at Reese Hall, a lovely c1820 home on the National Historic Registry. This curated event space is perfect for hosting guests in a culturally enriched ambiance while enjoying creative cuisine by Chef Malik, mood music by Sizzle the DJ and Bankhead Violinist, and a Conscious Wellness Relationship Coaching Session by Certified Life Coaches Dr. Adrianne Pinkney and Rev. Louis Negrón.

Conscious Wellness Relationship Coaching

In response to poems and short stories from Black Butterfly: A Poetry Collection, Certified Life Coaches Dr. Adrianne Pinkney and Rev. Louis Negrón will navigate guests through a Conscious Wellness Relationship Coaching session. Their combined expertise in relationship coaching will engage guests in activity and dialogue on the importance of communication, trust, and mutual respect for healthy life and love relationships, with self-love as the necessary foundation.

Violinist

Derick "DJ" Jones is a professional violinist from Atlanta, GA. Known as Bankhead Violinist, he performs a wide range of musical genres on acoustic violin including, R&B, jazz, “Top 40”, gospel, contemporary, and hip-hop.

DJ

Sharae "Sizzle the DJ" Smith is a member of Rhythm Flight Radio Group, and hosts the weekly Monday Mingle Cafe 6-8 pm. She is a popular DJ in the Chicago Style Steppin' dance community and is defined as a music mixologist. Sizzle calls North Carolina home.

Dr. Adrianne Pinkney and Rev. Louis Negrón are integrative wellness coaches who help others improve their overall health and well-being, with approaches in meditation, radical truth-telling, and whole-life union. They live between Atlanta, GA, and Charlotte, NC.

Tonita Few shares poetry from Black Butterfly at the inaugural Karen Clark’s Mother’s Day Weekend Jazz Brunch. This SOLD-OUT event, held at the 5-Star Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, N.C., also featured live jazz, incredible cuisine, and local paint artists.
